Our customer, a Swiss subcontracter to the machine building industry, manufactures a tube piece with 4 bores. Lacking an alternative, they deburred the holes manually.

The workpiece shows 2 x 2 bores. Per year, 50'000 units are manufactured. This results in 200'000 bores to be deburred annually.

  • Inner tube-Ø D: 30.0 mm
  • Outer tube-Ø: 35.0 mm
  • Deburr size: max. 0.5 mm

    Ø14.0 mm: S = 455 min-1 (v = 20 m/min)
    Ø20.0 mm: S = 280 min-1 (v = 17 m/min)
  • Feed:
    Ø14.0 mm: f  = 0.4/0.13 mm/rev (F = 182/60 mm/min)
    Ø20.0 mm: f = 0.5 mm/rev (F = 140 mm/min)
