The manufacturer of this crankshaft is a subcontractor to the Chinese automotive industry. The deburring of these oil bores has been executed manually up to now. Due to regular complaints from his customer, the subcontractor set out to look for more stable process. The issue was that there was no automated solution available on the market that allowed to deburr cross bores with a ratio of 1:1.
This application is predestined for HEULE's new X-BORES technology. The COFA-X tool has been designed for the deburring of cross bores with a bore diameter ratio of 1:1. The intersection of the bores will be deburred via the cross bore:
