The customer was looking for an efficient solution to deburr the crossbore in a mainbore.
The solution is the simple and efficient SNAP tool. Without the need for turning the work piece or stopping the spindle, it frees the bore edges from the burrs and applies a chamfer to them.
For the front and back deburring a standard SNAP2/2.3 tool with a working length of 10 mm is being used.
Speed: 4000 rev/min
Working feed: 0.04 mm/rev
Coolant: dry processing
Tool life blade: 10'000 bores
Tool life control bolt: 500'000 bores
The customer is saving process time by deburring the bore edges of the cross bore front and back in one operation.
The solution provided is to the full satisfaction of the client with regard to process capability and deburr quality.
