A Chinese subcontractor to a Swedish-American manufacturer of car safety systems was seeking a solution to automate a manual deburring process. In order to evaluate the best suitable production method, the company tested also the tools of two competitors.

HEULE offered a standard deburring tool of the SNAP series:

  • Tool: SNAP3/3.1/10  (10 = with 10.0 mm working length)
  • Blade: GH-Q-M-40831 (backward cutting only)

Machining parameters:

  • Speed: 2000 rev/min
  • Feed: 0.05 mm/rev

The comparison test with the competitor tools resulted in favour of HEULE. The HEULE tool proved its strength by producing the most stable result. The tool life of the blades reached up to 11'000 bores.
